Capetonians and visitors to the Mother City celebrated the start of the festive season with Moët & Chandon, with the spectacular lighting ceremony of the city’s grandest Champagne Christmas Tree on the 7th of December.
True to the Maison’s grand style of celebration the Moët & Chandon Champagne Tree saw Cape Town shine, at the V&A Waterfront’s stylish new Silo District, with the first tree of its kind built in Africa. This impressive and interactive 10-metre installation is made from over 1 500 recycled Moët & Chandon champagne bottles, and decorated with thousands of LED lights. It was created by multi-disciplinary studio, Studio H.
And since Christmas is all about sharing, get in the spirit of things by sending a message via Twitter or Instagram to your loved ones, that includes the hashtag #moetmomentcapetown, followed by the popping champagne bottle emoji, and the golden crown at the top of the tree spun. It’s a bit of festive fun!
Rendezvous at the V&A Waterfront this December to marvel at the Moët tree until the 3 January 2018, and enjoy delicious festive specials at select restaurants in the plaza.
