Bulgari Hotel opens in Shanghai

As told to Robb Report, Bulgari’s CEO, Jean-Christophe Babin refers to Bulgari’s expanding hotel portfolio as a “collection of gems,” in tune with its jewellery-making origins. “The theme for this gem is contemporary glamour,” he explains.Shanghai is one of the most vivacious cities in the world. It’s a must-see destination in terms of energy, history, and culture, and those are the cities where we find our gems.”

Omega revives 105-year-old chronograph

The “First OMEGA Wrist-Chronograph Limited Edition” is an ambitious new collection comprising of just 18 watches – with each one housing an original 18’’’ CHRO calibre from 1913. Raynald Aeschlimann, president and CEO of OMEGA said, “In all my years at this company, I’ve never seen a project quite like this one. The movements are 105 years old, but now their story is set to continue. The skill involved in the refurbishment and craftsmanship is remarkable and we’re very proud to now share the results.”

Solar powered catamaran sails the globe

Nearly each horizontal floor on the Vitality Observer catamaran is roofed with photovoltaic panels. Propulsion comes from two electrical motors pushed by generated electrical power. And, “There’s zero sound air pollution, it’s a real pleasure to navigate on this vessel,” Erussard stated on stage on the current Movin’On future mobility convention in Montreal, Canada.

Valentino collection inspired by fantasy

Kaia Gerber’s larger-than-life hair paired with a pink feathered ballgown really stole the show at an astounding Valentino collection designed by creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. It was enough to garner a standing ovation and bring Mr. Valentino himself to tears. From sweeping gowns in bold colours to ornate floral headpieces and embroidered detailing, each look was more stunning than the last.
