Was this Mercedes Benz road trip the first ever?

3 September, 2018 | 130 years ago investor and business woman, Bertha Benz, drove the first car ever built around Mannheim, Heidelberg, Wiesloch and Pforzheim in southern Germany.

A few weeks ago Mercedes-Benz USA released a short video depicting Karl Benz’s Patent-Motorwagen being driven by his wife. On 5 August, 1888, Bertha and her two oldest sons Richard and Eugen rolled the motorwagen away from the house on what is known in history as the first road trip.
