An iconic new design
Admired yet never equalled, Chopard’s Happy Diamonds are reinvented through new jewellery interpretations. While the collection has made a name for itself with several emblematic heart-shaped and round variations, these square jewellery creations are no less faithful to the collection’s soft, curved lines: the workshops have crafted a bevelled square with cut sides, creating surfaces that reflect the light without the slightest sharp edge in sight. The design of the bangle bracelet – a timeless fixture in Chopard’s collections – and the ring has been revisited with a square-shaped band to which a central gadroon brings a lighter touch.

It is amid this precious context that the dancing diamonds – one or three, depending on the version – gracefully continue their merry dance in two variations: in polished 18-carat yellow gold, or in white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds.
“Diamonds are happier when they are free”
On that day back in 1976 when Karin Scheufele – mother of Chopard’s current Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele – laid eyes on the first prototype of Happy Diamonds, she declared that diamonds should not be confined by the constraints of gem setting. That which is precious must move and dance in the whirl of an uncompromising life. Since then, the Maison’s creative abundance has given rise to thousands of watch and jewellery variations that have come to symbolise Joie de Vivre and to celebrate a free-spirited approach.
