A $1.2 million barn find
RM Sotheby’s is offering a 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S featured in The Italian Job. The completely original car was found in a barn in the Black Forest in Germany earlier this year with only a little over 29km on the clock. The yellow blockbuster legend is expected to fetch $1.2 million on 24 October.
The Spirit of the Rose
A 14.83-carat pink gem found and cut by Russian diamond mining company Alrosa is expected to fetch one of the highest prices ever for a diamond when the Russian company puts The Spirit of the Rose up for sale later this year. Originally named Nijinsky in its rough form, the fancy vivid purple-pink diamond is estimated at $60m.

A rare yellow diamond necklace goes under the hammer
Sotheby’s upcoming Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite auction is offering a rare Dunhuang Pipa necklace by Anna Hu. According to the auction house the over 100-carat fancy intense yellow diamond necklace is estimated to sell for over $5 million. The rare jewel joins a Burmese ruby ring by famed jeweller Raymond Yard.
