Old-world Italian flair, in Dubai

By 2020 The Floating Venice will be nestled in The Heart of Europe in The World Islands, 4km off the coast of Dubai in the Arabian Sea.

The Floating Venice has been described as a modern interpretation of Venice, with a canal network, gondolas imported from Italy and even a replica of Piazza San Marco. The hotel will have 24 pools, 12 floating beaches and a collection of bars and restaurants as well as an underwater spa. Accommodation, restaurants and recreation facilities will be split over four decks, one of which is underwater so guests can observe the on-site coral nursery, with more than 400 000 square feet of coral and marine life. Construction is set to begin in early 2018.
