1. Who you are buying from
Private Edition is published by The Publishing Partnership (Pty) Ltd (“TPP”), registration
number 1997/001662/07, VAT registration number 4080163985, 8th Floor Tarquin House, 81 Loop
Street, Cape Town, 8001. For any query about your subscription, email

2. What your subscription includes
- Five print issues of Private Edition, delivered to the address you give us
- Our monthly newsletter by email
- Early access to invitations for our Private Gatherings events
3. Price
R870.00 including VAT for the full twelve months. Payment is made once, when you sign up.
4. Term and renewal
Your subscription runs for twelve months from the date we receive your payment, and entitles
you to the next five issues published from that date. If you subscribe between issues, your
subscription starts with the next issue to be published.
Your subscription does not renew automatically, and your card details are not stored
or charged again. We will email you towards the end of your twelve months to ask
whether you would like to renew.
5. Delivery
Delivery is included for addresses within South Africa’s main metropolitan areas.
If your delivery address falls outside those areas, or is outside South Africa, an additional
delivery fee may apply. We will contact you using the details you give us, and agree any
additional cost with you, before your first issue is sent. If you would prefer not to pay it,
you may cancel at that point for a full refund.
Issues are dispatched in line with our publishing schedule. We will let you know if a
publication date moves.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Within seven days. Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and
Transactions Act 25 of 2002, you may cancel this subscription without reason or penalty within
seven days of receiving your first issue. We will refund you within 30 days of the cancellation.
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning any issue already delivered.
After seven days. If you cancel later in the twelve months, we will refund
the portion of your subscription covering issues that have not yet been dispatched.
To cancel, email [email protected] with the name and
delivery address on the subscription.
7. Gift subscriptions
You may buy a subscription for someone else. Enter their name and delivery address in the
delivery fields when you sign up. Your receipt and any correspondence about the subscription
will go to you, as the person who paid.
8. Your details
We collect your name, email address, telephone number and delivery address so that we can
deliver your magazine and contact you about your subscription. We handle this in line with our
Privacy Policy.
Subscribing also adds you to our monthly newsletter, which forms part of what you are buying.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, and doing so
does not affect your print subscription.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your subscription is
the one published on the day you subscribed.
