This Harley Davidson should be on the Millennial wish-list

The world has better tech, more affordable travel and more choice thanks in part to Millennials knowing what they desire from the world and their place in it. Also, loads of the world’s coolest brands are falling over themselves to serve up exactly what younger buyers want: Spotify, Netflix, ludicrously expensive craft-beer, Apple watches, organic food markets and, er, Harley Davidson?
Harley Davidson

Grizzly motor-cycles of the legendary “Bar and Shield” logo with bikes named Knucklehead and Panhead are not the defining symbol of the Millennial wish-list, but all that may be about to change.

Harley Davidson is about to step into the unknown by launching their new LiveWire, an electric Harley that cracks 0 to 100km/h in a ridiculously quick 3.5 seconds. That’s quicker than you can say “Super Venti Flat White, please.” The nifty thing with the LiveWire is that you get instantaneous power the moment you twist the throttle.

No bothersome clutches or gears to deal with. An onboard Level 1 charger and power cord connects to a standard household outlet for a full charge overnight. Level 3 DC Fast Charge stations will do it faster. You can even connect to it remotely – through your smartphone – to peruse the bike’s vitals like battery charge status, see its location on a map, and get security alerts if it’s been bumped, tampered with or moved.
