Tintswalo Lodge has risen from the ashes

Just one year after a devastating fire engulfed Tintswalo Atlantic, it has risen from the ashes, is completely rebuilt and now Cape Town’s uber on-the-ocean lodge has reopened for business.

It’s hard to believe that this magnificent property that is home to seven exquisitely designed and individually decorated new suites was reduced to a pile of ashes just 12 months ago!

A visit to Tintswalo reveals an entirely new lodge with all the luxury fittings and offerings synonymous with the Tintswalo brand and although many of the original antiques and one-off pieces were lost, those that have replaced them are absolutely in keeping with the look and feel of its predecessor. Look out for the silver table from the original lodge – it was the only item that was saved!

There is no doubt that Tintswalo is still the destination du jour for guests seeking the ultimate seaside escape.
