Experience the world at our Private Gatherings

They’re not so much events as discreet, luxurious gatherings that showcase the rare and the covetable. And you’re invited.

Our Private Gatherings bring together like-minded individuals to enjoy memorable – and ordinarily inaccessible – experiences, and give you an exclusive opportunity to tap into the global luxury zeitgeist. The pages of Private Edition magazine come to life as evenings unfold in a series of rare moments: a top chef, coveted wines, age-old cognac, cigars, art as well as exposure to global captains of industry.

Chef Jan Hendrik at his Michelin-star restaurant JAN in Nice, France

Just 10 guests were invited to a private dinner at South Africa’s only Michelin starred chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen’s home in Higgovale. Jan was the chef and very gracious host, in collaboration with Panerai. His sublime creations included langoustine with naartjie, champagne and passion fruit and biltong lamingtons with rooibos, mushrooms and cognac. The wine and conversation flowed, with some of his most trusted secrets discretely shared with guests…

Guests enjoying the Louis XIII cognac at The One & Only

Nobu chefs at The One & Only prepared a 6-course tasting menu, paired with 100-year-old Louis XIII cognac for just 15 Private Edition guests. Guiding us through the pairing was Louis XIII’s master cellar, Baptiste Loiseau, visiting South Africa from Cognac in France. It was a celebration of connoisseurship.
