Own part of the S.J. Phillips Bond Street legacy

Rock stars, royalty and spy plots - discover the fascinating story of a legendary London dealer.

S.J. Phillips: A Bond Street Legacy is a unique opportunity, not only to take home a superb piece of silver or an exquisite jewel, but to acquire a fragment of history. The auction is to be held at Sotheby’s London on 18 October.

This sale provides an opportunity, not only to take home a superb piece of silver or an exquisite jewel, but to acquire a fragment of the S.J. Phillips Bond Street history. With estimates ranging from £100 for a pair of silver-gilt grape shears, to £240,000 for a superb yellow and colourless diamond necklace, the sale features over 250 lots of Jewellery, British & Continental silver, Faberge and Objects of Vertu. With almost 150 years on Bond Street, S.J. Phillips continue to champion their long-observed ethos of quality, rarity and fine taste, and we are delighted to be able to offer this curated selection at auction.

Little-known, however, is the legendary dealers’ participation in an undercover World War II plot that saved thousands of lives, and turned the tide of the war in the Allies favour. Read about the plot to foil Hitler.
