Kaia Gerber is set for superstardom. She’s no stranger to modelling thanks to her famous mother, Cindy Crawford, and Kaia has a unique presence that has secured her position as one of the fashion industry’s fastest-growing names. Like her mother, Kaia has now partnered with OMEGA.
She was officially welcomed into the brand at the ‘Her Time’ event during Paris Fashion Week in September last year, and was a natural choice for the face of the new, highly-customisable De Ville Trésor ladies’ collection.
The feeling is mutual, said Kaia of the luxury watch brand. “I love OMEGA, just because I grew up with it and I feel like I’ve always been surrounded by everyone there. We’ve been a family from since I can remember.” On the new collection, Kaia said she is drawn to its vintage look, but also appreciates its modern elements,like the mirrored caseback with exclusive ‘Her Time’ design. “It’s a beautiful watch to look at and I love wearing it.”
To bring the young model and the watches of the Trésor collection together, OMEGA flew to Malibu Beach and shot there with photographer, Peter Lindbergh, who has worked with Cindy many times over her long career. Lindbergh also captured an exclusive family portrait featuring Kaia, Cindy, brother Presley, and husband Rande. In the style expected from a family of models, the portrait (above) was unveiled to the public at the same ‘Her Time’ event where Kaia made her OMEGA debut. Watch a video of the event here.
