Roger Dubuis Excalibur Knights III undergoes facelift

The third generation of the brand’s awe-inspiring Excalibur timepiece reinterprets the old round table and its famed knights with state-of-the-art pink gold low poly-sculpted figures underscored by a stark blue enamel table to make for a dramatically modern scene.

With the Excalibur Knights of the Round Table hyperwatch, Roger Dubuis once again demonstrates the power of the sword. This mechanical marvel is teamed with a matching blue alligator leather strap – a combination befitting of nobility.

Inspired by the fabled island of Avalon, a legendary island featured in the Arthurian tale as the place where King Arthur’s sword Excalibur was forged and later, where Arthur was taken to recover from his wounds after the battle of Camlann.

Framed by a 45mm case with a solid case back, fluted 18k pink gold bezel and matching crown, each dial takes 45 hours to create.

The Avalon inspired table is sculpted from solid blue enamel, a process requiring many hours of patient and dextrous craftsmanship. Incorporating low poly art, a technique originally employed in the creation of videogames is used to model 12 multidimensional pink gold knights depicting the hours. This standout creation is issued as a highly exclusive 28 piece limited edition.
