Bradley Cooper’s IWC Big Pilot watch goes on sale

Sotheby’s is selling the unique IWC Big Pilot watch that the American actor and filmmaker wore to the 2019 Academy Awards. The proceeds made from the sale of the Big Pilot in solid 5N red gold with a midnight blue dial a la the Petit Prince line of pilots will the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation.

Bugatti’s Birthday-Edition Chiron Sport

The French hyper sports car manufacturer is celebrating their 110-year anniversary with a special edition of the Chiron sport limited to 20 cars. This new edition is not only extremely exclusive but also pays tribute to France. The French tricolour Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge, with its colours of blue, white and red, decorates the body and interiors at several points and harmonises with the extraordinary Chiron Sport.

Oskar Schindler’s personal items go on auction

RR Auction is currently auctioning off a Longines watch that once belonged to Oskar Schindler, the industrialist who is credited with saving more than 1 200 lives during the Holocaust. The stainless steel case watch, still in its original condition, is being sold as part of a larger lot of Schindler’s personal items, including a medal awarded by the German government in 1938, and two Parker fountain pens.

Daytona Melrose Arch opens its doors

The new home of Daytona opened its doors in February, with the official launch taking place on 10 March 2019. The space is more art deco chic than a typical high-end car showroom. State-of-the-art sound systems and video walls add a unique energy to the space and the addition of The Melrose Gallery quarterly art exhibition and Naked coffee bar cements the lifestyle appeal of the space. Currently Pagani, McLaren and Daytona Pre-Owned are fully operational. Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce still reside in Sandton but once they move to Melrose, Daytona will officially be one of Africa’s largest, most luxurious car dealerships.
