Phillips will be auctioning Ayrton Senna’s 18K Gold Rolex Daytona next month in Paris. According to the auction house expects the rare timepiece is estimated between $101 000 and $201 000. The watch is not only offered in superb condition but comes with a series of accessories including a signed faceguard of belonging to the race car driver’s helmet, making it a must-have for any Formula One fan and watch collectors.

French billionaires pledge millions to restore Notre Dame

Following the devasting fire that destroyed the Notre Dame Cathedral spire and roof on Monday, a number of people and companies have pledged more than €600 million to help restore the historic French landmark. Of those millions, Groupe Artémis, which owns Christie’s auction house, has contributed €100 million and the LVMH Group pledged €200 million as well as putting their state and the relevant authorities – including creative, architectural and financial specialists – to help with reconstruction and fundraising, which is already in progress.

A rare and aged scotch whisky

The Dalmore has collaborated with world-renowned Italian restaurateur Massimo Bottura for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind scotch whisky bottling, the Dalmore L’Anima Aged 49 Years. This expertly crafted single malt whisky is said to be a celebration of the shared respect for tradition and innovation. The rare and aged bottling will be auctioned at Sotheby’s in an online sale, from 25 April to 9 May.

LV’s disruptive line of rolling luggage

Louis Vuitton’s Horizon Soft is the latest collaboration capsule collection with Australian designer, Marc Newson. This disruptive line of rolling luggage features new technologies to create the outer shell made of thermo-formed 3D knit with double-sided jacquard. Every detail is designed to make the new luggage practical from every perspective – lightness, packing space, easy handling and sturdiness. “Design, by definition, is disruption and innovation. If it’s not new, then what’s the point?” says Marc Newson.

DBS 59 a Q by Aston Martin

Built to celebrate one of the most illustrious moments in Aston Martin’s motorsport history, DBS 59 is a limited run of 24 special edition DBS Superleggera, the first of which have just been built at the company’s global manufacturing headquarters in Gaydon. The DBS 59 follows on from the success of other Q by Aston Martin commissions including the Red Arrows Edition Vanquish S, the Cygnet V8 and the North Coast 500 series of six DB11 GTs.
